Skate or Die !!
OK this is off topic, but maybe has relevance to some of you, Before the days of Acid House I was hugely into Skateboarding, regular weekend trips bunking the train from Hampshire to London for shred sessions at Southbank, Meanwhile, Meanwhile II, Harrow, Kennington. Like lots of things I have hoarded in life I kept many of my old skate paraphernalia, from old boards including the one I ride today, wheels, trucks, magazines and some old skate vids like Bones Brigade, Molecules of Motion by Gull Wing, Santa Cruz Wheels on Fire and ground breaking at its time H-Street Shackle me not. It led me down a path of some obscure music back then, The Cramps, Suicidal Tendencies, The Stupids and even my neighbours garage band called A Feast of Friends. This evening I had just started to rip the audio from one of the videos, halfway through I thought I’d google the soundtrack on the slightly remotest chance that something as obscure as the sound track to Santa Cruz Streets on Fire exists. Well after 30 secs, I stopped recording, and got downloading instead, it never ceases to amaze me what gets dragged up on the web, anyway, to you old skaters out there, here is the soundtrack to ” Streets on Fire”, courtesy of someone. Be warned the majority of the tracks maybe out of most dance music heads comfort zone.

Hello i was wondering if the documentry they call it acid has benn released on dvd yet please

still listen to this soundtrack,
picturing natas doing the hydrant spin to the sound of brave captain.

If you loved Wheels of Fire, the guys who did the soundtrack (Claus Grabke’s band), Eight Dayz, just remastered and released all the music from the film and more: http://itunes.apple.com/album/whats-so-strange-about-me/id463439534?v0=9988&ign-mpt=uo%3D1
Feel like we’re the same person sometimes only twenty years apart. I started skating and listening to punk rock when I was 13 (1993). Skating was my gateway to good music. Started DJing (vinyl only thank you) all the 80s club music I grew up on in 2008 and fell in love with classic house music not long after that. Love the blog. Keep up the great work!!!
