TiED 003 – TiED Down by The Daddy
This weeks TiED Down Guest mix series comes from a DJ who goes under the name of The Daddy and host a weekly show on an internet radio station dedicated to the revival of dance music from the late 80′s to early 90′s. The Daddy is known on the station for his dedication to the 1989 sounds that were being played in and around the M25 Magic Roundabout in London during this historical musical and culture movement. The Daddy also has a penchant for the Balearic Beat that was bought back from the White Isles around the same time, and you can hear that coming through in this low slung laid back selection for TiED.

” I used to run my own nights in Kent back in 88/89 frequented by pete tong, I gave up the Dj career back in 93 when it got all happy hardcore and returned just for fun 3 yrs ago.. and here we end up today. I absolutely hate pigeon holing music and am partial to a cheeky curveball. I wanted to deliver a typical back to mine in my style that includes a few curveballs, that covered most styles of dance -from commercial pop to balearic bliss, I hope you enjoy my journey”
