Stumbled across this mix today, some nice down tempo summer tunes in a Balaeric fashion. Each time I see that Orchestra JB tune in a tracklist makes me wisj I never sold my copy about 12 months back. Ah well sure it it surface again in another bargain basement.

I co wrote Come Alive (Orchestra JB) and played the harmonica as well as backing vocals, but never knew it was released on this album….where can I get a copy please as it would be nice to have it in my collection

well before OJB, I was the singer in a band, and we supported the likes of REM although we had many names which we never seemed to stick with except Friends of Gavin. We toured the UK Holland and France and then I foolishly got married and decided I better earn a living, which was how I met Jimmy brown (no relation), and I fell into doing stuff with him as I played harmonica and Guitar as well. Not much happened after OJB…he released an album called Tambourine Fever (I co wrote a few tracks on the album and played harmonica on a few songs too)which did ok and that was that.
Every now and then I do a search on google and this is how I found the site here. I will endeavour to find a copy of it on CD and thanks for your offer.
it was also released in its own right which got to number 15 in the dance charts in 90/91 and then released on Warehouse Raves 5 and Spiritually Ibiza 1……..it’s just nice to know that people have heard it.
Currently re married (14 years ago) and have 2 young kids of 9 & 7

The tune still has quite a following i certain circles….. I recently put my copy onto CD so I could start playing it out again…I have a Balearic set coming up, which this will be included.
